Let me tell you about a moment that felt bigger than me.
When you think of Carnegie Hall, what comes to mind? Maybe legendary musicians, world-class performances, or historic speeches that shaped history.
But on February 27, 2025, that stage became something else—it became a platform for the future. For innovation, for economic empowerment, for AI.
And there I was, standing under those lights, looking out at a crowd of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and changemakers, ready to talk about one thing:
How AI is reshaping business—and why we can’t afford to sit on the sidelines.
The Power Network Event: AI Is Reshaping Business and Black Excellence
Before I get into what I shared, let me set the stage (literally).
Power Network 2025 wasn’t just any event—it was a celebration of Black history, innovation, and economic empowerment. The room was filled with leaders from business, finance, and entertainment, all coming together to talk about wealth, success, and the future.
🎤 Rakim, one of the greatest lyricists of all time, performed with a 32-piece orchestra.
🎧 DJ Spinderella brought the energy and set the tone for the night.
💰 Robert F. Smith, Anish Melwani, and other industry titans shared insights on business and financial growth.
And then there was me—representing the next wave of business transformation, powered by AI.
This wasn’t just a conference. It was a movement.
AI Is Here—And It’s Changing How We Work
When I stepped up to the mic, I didn’t waste any time.
AI isn’t coming. It’s already here.
I’ve seen firsthand how AI is transforming the way we work—helping entrepreneurs streamline their businesses, reclaim their time, and scale faster than ever before. And I didn’t just talk about it. I showed it.
I broke it down:
- AI in presence & communication – I trained an AI avatar with HeyGen to handle Zoom meetings when I couldn’t be there. Imagine that—being in two places at once, without actually being in two places.
- AI in automation – From handling repetitive emails to generating content, AI tools are freeing up time so business owners can focus on strategy instead of busywork.
- AI as an assistant, not a replacement – This isn’t about replacing people. It’s about working smarter, delegating tasks to AI, and using technology to scale without burnout.
But more than that, I wanted everyone in that room to understand:
This isn’t just for tech giants. AI is for YOU.
If you’re not leveraging these tools, you’re leaving time, money, and opportunities on the table. And as I spoke, I saw it click—people taking notes, whispering to each other, seeing the possibilities in real-time.
This wasn’t just a talk. It was a shift.
This wasn’t just information—it was a wake-up call.
AI Is Reshaping Business—And It’s Time to Take Action
Every event has a moment that sticks with you. For me? It was the conversations after my talk.
People came up to me, excited, inspired, ready to take action. One woman shook my hand and said:
“Alicia, I was intimidated by AI before tonight. But now? Now I see how I can use it in my business, and I’m not afraid anymore.”
And that right there? That’s why I do this.
Because for too long, AI has been seen as something “too complicated” or “too technical.” Something that’s happening in some far-off tech world, instead of a tool that we can use today, right now, to change our businesses and our lives.
But that’s not true. AI is accessible. It’s powerful. And most importantly—it’s ours for the taking.
So, What Happens Now?
Leaving Carnegie Hall that night, I knew one thing for sure:
This conversation is just beginning.
AI is already transforming industries. It’s already reshaping business. And the people who get in now—who start learning, experimenting, and applying AI in their work—will be the ones leading the future.
