I recently had the pleasure of leading a session at the Alabama Minority Vendor Program (MVP Alabama)—a statewide initiative dedicated to empowering minority-owned businesses through hands-on training, practical resources, and powerful networking opportunities. This program is all about helping vendors in industries like construction, engineering, and professional services not just compete, but truly thrive in today’s competitive procurement space.
So when I was invited to guide a session on something I’m super passionate about—AI bid decisions—I was all in. And let me tell you—it was such an energizing experience.
This wasn’t about big tech or complex code. It was about empowering real vendors with practical tools that save time and improve outcomes.
Let me walk you through what made this session so special—and why it might just be the shift your business needs.
One thing I’ve seen over and over again? So many businesses think AI is out of reach. It sounds complicated, expensive, or just… not meant for them. But the truth is, AI can make everyday tasks, like deciding whether or not to pursue a contract, so much easier.
That’s why we zeroed in on AI bid decisions in this workshop.
We started with the basics: how AI can analyze an RFP, highlight key details, and compare them to your company’s capabilities. I guided attendees through how this process works in real life. Not theory—actual steps, tools, and workflows they could start using that same day.
Here’s the part I love most: watching those lightbulb moments happen.
As we walked through how AI simplifies decision-making, the questions started flowing. “So I can use this to filter out poor-fit opportunities?” Yes. “Can this save my team hours reviewing RFPs?” Absolutely.
For many of these business owners, especially those wearing multiple hats, AI bid decisions felt like reclaiming valuable time—time they could use to focus on the right projects.
The shift from uncertainty to strategy was immediate. And that shift? That’s where real momentum begins.
Now, I’m all about taking things from idea to action. That’s why everyone at the session received what I call my AI Success Kit. It’s packed with tools I’ve personally tested and prompts I use in my own consulting work.
Think of it as a shortcut to starting with AI—no tech background is needed. Just smart tools for smarter bidding.
This kit was designed specifically to support AI bid decisions, with everything from RFP review prompts to tool recommendations that won’t overwhelm. The response? Let’s just say I got a few “Where has this been all my life?” messages afterward.
What made this experience especially meaningful was the group I had the honor of working with—minority-owned businesses in the AEC industry. These are folks who are building incredible companies, often with fewer resources and a lot more hustle.
I believe technology should serve everyone, and this session was a chance to show that AI isn’t exclusive. When applied right, it can be a great equalizer. Helping you make faster, sharper AI bid decisions means you’re not just competing—you’re leading.
And that’s the kind of transformation that gives me goosebumps every time
This session was just the beginning. I left so inspired by the energy in the room—and even more committed to making AI accessible and actionable for every business I work with.
If you’ve been curious about using AI to help you navigate bidding decisions, now’s the perfect time to explore. These tools aren’t just smart—they’re practical, and they’re ready when you are.
I’ll keep creating, sharing, and supporting—because I truly believe smarter AI bid decisions are a path to greater opportunities.
Thanks for following along, and I hope I’ll see you at a future session.
